About the model
Rolls-Royce produced the Corniche series coupe and convertible from 1971 to 1995; and the model was essentially a continuation of the former Silver Shadow Two-Door Saloon of 1965 and the Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupe of 1967.
The model was assembled and finished in London at Mulliner Park Ward, with the exterior design conceived by John Polwhele Blatchley.
It was named Corniche after the Grande Corniche - the cliffside coastal road which runs along the French Riviera above the principality of Monaco.
The Corniche II moniker appeared from 1986 to 1989 and reflected detail changes along with the addition of anti-lock brakes.
A total of 1,234 examples were produced, making this a rarity in any condition, but particularly so at low mileage and original quality.
