HISTORY
The Jaguar XJS is one of motoring's greatest GTs, a long, slender sports car with distinctive lines. It has evolved through two major updates, both in response to the crisis. By the late 1970s sales had dwindled to zero so the car was driven up and sales resumed. Then, in the early 1990s, Jaguar's proposed replacement fell through and it was necessary to extend the life of the car.
The result was the facelifted 1991 car, which got the superlative straight-six AJ6 engine, in our case the last iteration the AJ16 ( featuring coil-on-plug distributor-less ignition)as well as clever cosmetic changes, interior upgrades, better quality and, importantly, a galvanized body.
OUR CAR
This is one of the cars that has benefited from these changes. Elegantly finished in Kingfisher Blue over Ivory interior , it also appears to have the desirable Sport Pack. Delivered to the Italian market in 1994 and remained there since the car boasts full official Jaguar dealers service history .With only 79.000 kms and effectively two owners and a recent MOT certificate.. Most importantly maintaining its original paint also benefiting from a very recent service in august 2023 with fluids filters and tank float replaced.
Presenting one of the most loved and looked after Xjs on the market, a very usable and very rewarding car for the weekend or daily guide.

LA STORIA
La Jaguar XJS è una delle più grandi GT dell'automobilismo, un'auto sportiva lunga e snella dalle linee distintive. Si è evoluto attraverso due importanti aggiornamenti, entrambi in risposta alla crisi. Verso la fine degli anni '70 le vendite erano scese a zero, quindi l'auto riprese a crescere e le vendite ripresero. Poi, all'inizio degli anni '90, la proposta di sostituzione della Jaguar fallì e fu necessario prolungare la vita dell'auto.
Il risultato fu l'auto rinnovata del 1991, che ottenne il superlativo motore AJ6 a sei cilindri in linea, nel nostro caso l'ultima versione dell'AJ16 (con accensione senza distributore e bobina su candela), oltre a intelligenti modifiche estetiche, aggiornamenti interni, migliore qualità e, soprattutto, un corpo zincato.
LA NOSTRA MACCHINA
Questa è una delle vetture che ha beneficiato di questi cambiamenti. Elegantemente rifinita in Kingfisher Blue su interni avorio, sembra anche avere l'auspicabile Sport Pack. Consegnata al mercato italiano nel 1994 e rimasta lì da quando l'auto vanta uno storico completo di assistenza presso concessionari ufficiali Jaguar. Con solo 79.000 km e effettivamente due proprietari e un certificato di revisone recente. Soprattutto mantenendo la sua vernice originale e beneficiando anche di un tagliando molto recente in agosto 2023 con sostituzione filtri liquidi e galleggiante serbatoio.
Presentiamo una delle Xjs più amate e curate sul mercato, un'auto molto utilizzabile e molto gratificante per il fine settimana o per la guida quotidiana.
